Witnesses

Witness requirements vary by state

Check with your state's comptroller to verify if your document needs a witness, who is eligible to act as a witness, and how many witnesses you will need.

Common documents that may require a witness are Wills, POAs, and Medical Directives.

Witnesses need to be present at the time of the signing and follow the identification requirements.

If you are still unsure, contact me and I will verify for you.

Virtual Notarization Process

When meeting online to notarize a document, the following steps will be followed:

  1. Email the documents to be notarized to me at modernnotarytx@gmail.com
  2. I will upload the documents to my secure electronic platform and place the appropriate signature boxes.
  3. I will then send an email invite to you to join me at the scheduled time for the notarizations.
  4. At the appropriate time, you will click the link in the email either via smart phone or computer to access the platform.
  5. The platform will ask you to upload your ID both front and back and will give you access to do so. (check identification requirements)
  6. Once your ID is verified, the platform will ask you a series of Knowledge-Based Questions. These questions are derived from an internet search about you.  They will consist of questions about previous addresses, employers, Akas, etc.  They are meant to qualify you as the person on the ID you uploaded.  It is meant to protect you.  You must answer 3 of the 5 questions correctly.  If you can't the platform will give you 2 more tries.
  7. Once you have completed the ID process, you will be connected to me.  You must have your microphone and video working as we must be able to see and hear each other.
  8. We are now ready to complete the notarization.  You will click on the signature boxes in the document and I will place my information and stamp.
  9. Once the process is complete, you will receive your document via email.

Mobile Notarization Process

I am happy to meet you at your home, work, hospital, favorite coffee shop etc...  We just need a place to sign and stamp.  As long as you have your appropriate ID with you, almost anywhere will work.

As a mobile notary, I service Dallas, Denton, and Collin counties.

Apostile Services

Apostille certificates are issued by the Secretary of State from where the document originated.  Send the original documents to me via mail, or if your state allows, virtually via email and I will manage the apostille service as well as the notarizations.

Payments

Virtual Notarizations will require electronic payments before the documents will be completed.  Please follow the identification requirements.

We accept Zelle (214-649-7125) and Cash App ($lisa7125) or Stripe Invoice

Mobile Notarizations also accept cash and checks.
